Bio.
Evie Hinojosa (b. 1998 in LaPlace, LA) is a painter and graduate of Louisiana Tech University School of Design. She closely examines body ownership and female experiences through the creation of body print paintings. Her work has been exhibited in her university’s annual juried student show every year since 2019 and has been published twice by The Quatrain, a local online magazine. Evie was recently recognized for her contemporary context presentation at the Louisiana Tech Undergraduate Research Symposium and presented her work at the University of Louisiana System Academic Summit. She describes her work as a peek inside the darker sub-world in which women are subjugated to live. Evie currently lives and works in Shreveport, Louisiana.
